My Kronos 2 is connected to Logic X via USB and happily transmits audio into Logic and it's recorded just fine.

The problem appears to be transmitting MIDI data via USB to Logic X. I have MIDI Monitor on and there is no MIDI data traffic when I hold a Kronos key down.

I've matched the channels in Logic to the channel in the Kronos but Logic is saying there are 0 MIDI In ports and 0 MIDI Out ports.

So I'm scratching my head as to how to fix it. It has worked in the past so it might be a faulty USB but if the audio transmits I suspect that's not the issue.

I've installed the Kronos Editor v 3.1 but that doesn't help matter either.

As I'm scratching my head I wonder if anyone else has solved this problem.

Thanks for your help.

Weirdly the following steps seem to have sorted the issue out:

1. Reboot the Kronos
2. Set audio preferences in Logic X to Kronos (for audio In/Out)
3. Check audio from Programs and Combis will record in Logic X (they will)
4. Set audio preferences to Audio Interface (Scarlett 212 USB)
5. Global > Local On = Unchecked (i.e. turn Kronos sounds off)
6. Kronos performs as MIDI controller and will play Plug In instruments

The above might useful for someone else. Surprised that Korg haven't got a series of videos showing how to connect to the most popular DAWs given this has been an issue for quite a few people.
