|
|
Here what I would like to do, a basic example. I have a combi with 2 sounds, piano and strings. I want to press a foot pedal to turn mute / unmute strings when I want them.
If possible if i had more control, being able to turn on / off different combinations of sounds, volume mix of sounds etc..
I'm willing to buy myself a midi footcontroller if that is what I need. I already have a korg foot switch but i'm unsure how to make what I want to do happen.
I'd like to use this while playing live. For example I get to the part of the song that has strings in it. So i hit the switch to turn on strings layered on top of the piano. etc..
If i cannot do this with a simple switch, what midi switch would give me the most flexability to do whatever I want with it? (and would be best for live performances)
I already have a sustain pedal, so i've have to be using this other pedal (pedal board) with my left foot. |

You can mute /un mute sounds 3 different ways.
1. Use a compressor as in IFX -setting the output level to 0 and setting SRC to SW1 or SW2 to +100
2. Use a graphic eq as an IFX - set all the bands to -18db and set the WET/DRY to WET and the SRC to SW1 or SW2 AMT to -100
3. In the FILTER page of a PROGRAM set the OUTPUT of the filter to 99 and the AMS INT to -99 with the AMS set to SW1 or SW2
You will need to make sure that SW1 or SW2 is assigned in the BASIC CONTROLLERS page too.
You will need to assign SW1 or SW2 to the footswitch in GLOBAL settings .
Hope this helps |

or just use a Volume pedal to bring strings in/out ... works great , that's what i do ... assign which parts you want the Volume pedal to work on ... midi filter _________________ Korg Kronos 88 , Yam MODX , Dexibell S7 Pro , Emu Proteus 2000 , various fx pedals/racks ... |
