Hi All Very Happy

Thanks for having me here. I‘ve been trying to find the method to create new user performance/set lists.

I saw a tutorial on it, but can‘t find it anymore. Can anyone please explain how it works (not via librarian)

Thank you all very much in advance

English User manual page 6 Assign Performance to Set List Slot
English User manual page 14 is the section on how to Write things to memory: Saving Sounds, Write Metadata, Name, Compare, Delete From Database are the section topics under the chapter Write.

The user manual is downloadable from the Korg website.
I miss the days of actual printed manuals.

Hi Pranaearth

Thank you for commenting and your help. I‘ve already downloaded the manual and read the corresponding pages. Unfortunately I haven‘t found a single hint regarding creating new user directories. I‘ll keep on searching the online tuts (where I found the original hint). Just couldn‘t "refind" it yet.

Hi Sharp,

THANK YOU SO MUCH! One last question: Is there also a possibility to create custom user prrformances?

Hi iDemo.

To the best of my knowledge the range of categories is preset and not editable.

In order to filter out your own sounds from the factory data, using categories would be the wrong option. All factory sounds are assigned to a “collection” called “Wavestate 1” by default.

“Collections” names are customisable.

So for example, if I were to make a Pad based Performance, I would save that into the “Pad” categories of my “My Sounds” collection.

By doing that, at any point I can filter out all the factory data just by selecting the “My Sounds” collection in the filters menu. Leaving only a list of my custom data on the screen.

Only 1 catch though. I’ve not yet found a way to create a new “Collection” on the Wavestate without using the Libertarian. Creating one with teh librarian is easy, and once you do that you can save whatever you like into that collection directly on the wavestate. I just don’t seem to be able to find how to create that collection in the first place using only the wavestate.

Kind regards
Sharp.

Hi Sharp

Thank you! That got me back on track. I found the way to create custom set lists. So in order to create a new collection, I‘ll just use the librarian.
