I do not believe that the FCB1010 will work with MIDI-over-USB as there are no drivers within the FCB1010.
You could try it with your Uno-1 but I would be surprised if it works.

The FCB1010 will output regular MIDI messages via its standard MIDI ports.
Using the UNO-1 (for example) would require that the USB outputs MIDI that the PA300 recognises
I have no idea whether this would have a hope of working.
Does the PA300 rely on the Korg software drivers and hence processes MIDI IN in a specific format? I do not know. The FCB of course has no software drivers.
It is very sad that Korg did not build standard MIDI ports on the keyboard - I guess because it was an entry level model.
Did you try your FCB1010 with your UNO-1? _________________ PA4X-76, Karma, WaveDrum GE, Fantom 8 EX

Another possibility is; Behringer FCB1010 MIDI-Foot Controller https://www.gear4music.se/sv/Gitarr-bas/Behringer-FCB1010-MIDI-Foot-Controller/2NM
I have asked the shop some questions about this pedal;
Can I program this pedal so that it for example; can switch sounds on the Korg 05R/W sund module by pressing the various numbers on the pedal?
set it so I can transpose major up or down with the function; Up / Down?
Can I place one of the two large pedals on the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI-Foot Controller to use the Pitch bend and / or lesley function?
And last but not least; Can I connect my Alesis Q49 midi keyboard to the Behringer FCB1010 MIDI-Foot Controller and Korg 05R/W sund module?
I have previously worked with Kawai sequences for a lot of years and therefore know about midi programming, note and midi / change control number etc. Therefore of course Behringer FCB1010 MIDI-Foot Controller is very interesting, both in keyboard and in guitar together hang here with me, and among the old ones I usually play for. And there will be a time after this pandemic.
I hope I get a quick answer, so I get this to work.
Then I have to live with the fact that the pa300 cannot be connected to this pedal. I can simply start making midi files of styles with the song record function in pa300.
This year I have bought all the programs from toonrack, ezdrummer2/ezkeys/ ezbass and ezmix2 https://www.toontrack.com/ and will in time make midi files here also with mixtrack and reaper. Yes I have a lot of balls in the air. But thank you for taking the time to help me.

I do not own a Korg 05R/W but if the manual provides the PCs/CCs/SYSEX then the FCB1010 will do most of that.

Again, if the MIDI implementation manual provides the MIDI message required then, yes.
I used one pedal to control expression for the UPPER part of my PA4X and the other to actually control the speed of the rotary effect (full range of speed, not just fast/slow)

I am not familiar with Alesis but using MIDI THRU, you might be able to achieve this depending on what you want to do.
The programming of the FCB1010 is a bit daunting if you program on the board itself, however there is an excellent FREE PC editor which saves much time and can backup all your settings - it is excellent - you can get it here (there's a help file too):-

On Pa600 which is better version that Pa300 none USB Midi controller will work directly !!!
I tried all tricks is possible.
Only (maybe) if you use computer, Midi interface connected to computer and DAW.
In some DAW you can routed or merge Midi connection, then if DAW recognize Korg as Midi device on DAW, FCB1010 can sent midi message, but never directly.
Korg Pa600 does not have install software like computer plug & Play.
Korg Pa600 only recognize Storage devices by Host USB.
USB Devices port requited drivers offered by Korg support only to connect Windows or Mac computers.
Unless is something I missed. _________________ Nemik

Thanks for the important info.
Yes I understand this now, its not posibility vid pa300.
Regarding Korg 05R / W sound module, so I bid right now on a Yamaha SY22 Vector Synthesizer on Tradera, for and be able to manage Korg 05R / W sound module as good as possible. Does not work with midi keyboard, for poor button control options.
Regret a little that I did not buy Roland BK-3 instead, it has traditional midi out and in. |
