MR1000 Disk Error and missing files

My Korg MR1000 is showing a Disk Error message and will not reformat or do a factory reset. The drive boots in USB mode on my Mac and seems to be working. On checking the file structure of the drive, I find that it is missing important files such as MRPM.sys and MRPlayList.txt files. Are these files in flash memory or do I need to copy them over by hand? If so, does anyone know of a place where I could get these files? I'm running system v.1.5.1 of the OS.
