Minilogue: Resonance with External Input

Post by X-Trade »

I've recently picked up an original minilogue. Always had a soft spot for it with those drifty VCOs and the sweet 4 pole filter (that is sadly missing from the other models).

I'm enjoying using it to sequence my Eurorack. However when I try sending a signal back in (via a passive attenuator), I've noticed that the resonance goes crazy! It goes from no resonance to full resonance within a very short range.
This then persists even when I unplug the external input, until I turn the Minilogue off, at which point it will return to normal on the next boot.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Maybe someone with a bit more electrical knowledge has an explanation?

I think this happened to me the other day, except I had a volca FM going into the minilogue’s input. I had to do the same thing, reboot for the problem to go away. I’ll check again and see if it happens and let you know
