|
|
Ill start first by stating what I am trying to achieve and then maybe someone can tell me if there is abetter way of doing this?
I want to convert some multi pads from my Yamah PSR Keyboard to my Korg PA4x...
First thing I did was record the multi pad in a single SMF track into Cakewalk Bandlab. All the midi data (notes, control changes etc) have been recorded.
I have saved the SMF as a Midi format 1 and deleted ALL other tracks so its juts a single track SMF.
I import the SMF into the SONG creator in the PA4x and when i press PLAY channel 7 plays the midi file and after a few sound tweaks I can get everything sound just how I want it to be...
I then save the song... I import the song into the multi pad creator as CV1 but no data comes across and nothing plays etc... when I go to the event edit list - there is nothing...
I screwed around for a ages last night on this but cant seem to find a way to select channel 7 from the song to import into the multi pad creator...
What am I doing wrong?? _________________ Korg PA 700 / Roland G70 / Roland BK9 / Roland GW8L / Yamaha PSR SX900 / Roland Fantom 06 |

I've imported a midi track from DAW to a pad before. It's been a long time , but I vaguely remember I had to assign the midi track to channel 10. I imported the midi straight from the flash drive into one of the pads I think. _________________ Sam

Yep that worked! So the midi data needs to be on channel 10... thanks!! _________________ Korg PA 700 / Roland G70 / Roland BK9 / Roland GW8L / Yamaha PSR SX900 / Roland Fantom 06 |
