Basically the LEDS of the knobs cycle counter clockwise as if in startup, all Red lights below the keys are lit save for the "All" which is flashing. Nothing response, no sound, anything. What could be wrong? |

try to boot it into Update mode. or Global parameters mode. see what happens. you could try reflashing the firmware, see if that resets it. |

So it boots into the alternate modes listed here just fine - http://snakehouse.be/doku.php?id=korg_volca_keys
But I don't see an update mode or global parameters mode.
But will not boot into standard mode. I don't have an MIDI<->USB cable currently, I may need to get one. |

Keys responding fine in config mode.

EDIT: Just got it to boot up, and the sounds were mangled. very quiet except a loud click from the LFO. not sure if this means the LFO was mangled. some cool broken sounds just too low volume to be usable. Haven't been able to get it to boot since.
Trying to do a firmware update, doesn't seem to be taking it. Showing that it's version 2, so it should. Using the syn in/out for updates was a really bad idea. Surely it was possible to use MIDI instead? |
