|
|
My PA4x used to have an issue with booting occasionally. The Red light on the power button is on but nothing on the display and no sound. It used to get resolved after a few hours. But now it doesn't turn on at all. I have the Next OS now but the problem started before i upgraded to this OS.
Has anyone faced this issue? Any suggestions to solve this? |

I recommend that you get a Korg service centre to check it out.
Hope you get it fixed

I gave it to three service centers. All of them said the mother board needs to be replaced. Finally I replaced the motherboard two weeks ago. It worked fine after the replacement. But after two weeks, the same issue started again.
After using the keyboard for some time, it will not boot again after switching off. It will take a few minutes/hours (even a few days sometimes) to boot again.
The problem first started before upgrading to OS 3 (It was in 2). So I believe nothing with the OS.
When the power button is pressed, nothing in the display. Only the red light near the power button is on.
The previous mother board also had the same behavior. But after the service (before the motherboard replacement), the display has Korg logo and freezes there.
The service center guys said that it had happened with a lot of keyboards. PA700 also had the same issue.
Any known solutions for this issue?
Thanks

As with all computers, it is a process of elimination.
I would certainly get it back to the service centre as it seems it was not the motherboard.
It could be number of things - even the power micro-switch itself.
Good luck with it.
