I have just hooked up with a guy that has an old Kronos first version! He has never updated it, so I offered to do it as I had done it before many years ago....BUT with all the new models and OS updates I am a bit unclear about
1. where to find them for THAT model and
2. What stages it need to be updated in?
Further, would it still need to be updated via CD-Rom as it was back in the day?
Anyhoo, any tips you folks can pass along will be helpful.

yeah well, thanks for that...no to the first and I already knew that, but which OS will actually work with it? I could not see any that go back that far...is there a legacy site?
And what about the CD question? Or haven't you owned one long enough to remember? |

Both OS V3.1.3 and Sub System V1.10 will update your original Kronos to the latest specs - There's no "legacy" OS, the updates work with the original Kronos, Kronos X and Kronos 2.
Just download both updates and follow the instructions... No CD required.

The OS update files will need to be copied to a suitably formatted USB memory stick. The update instructions are included in the update package. Just unzip that.
