Can anyone explain how to adjust the gain and offset potentiometers on the aftertouch circuit board to increase/decrease the aftertouch response? Thanks in advance. |

Which Kronos model do you have ? If yours is equipped with a 88-key RH3 action, the aftertouch on it is "naturally" very hard to trigger, even with optimal gain and offset pot settings. |

I have the Kronos 2-73. |

Hi cakalaka and welcome to the forum. Even though I've never tried a 73-key RH3 action, I am almost certain it is equipped with similar aftertouch (AT) components. Did you try the different AT curve settings in global mode ? You could also try to recalibrate the AT using the global mode feature about it. It for sure won't do a miracle, but if you make sure the bar goes just far enough until it becomes darker blue (instead of going higher than needed), it might help to make the AT slightly easier. |

I know all of that, I'm asking specifically about the potentiometers on the aftertouch circuit board inside of the Kronos. |

Well, as I mentioned earlier even with optimal gain and offset pot settings the aftertouch will remain quite hard to trigger. There is a hardware mod but it's complicated and risky, not to mention it will void your warranty if your Kronos is recent. |

Well what are the optimal settings? My question is what do those two pots do to the aftertouch response? What does the offset pot do, what is being offset, the minimum amount of pressure? Not interested in a hardware mod. |

Something to consider -- you can calibrate aftertouch to be hypersensitive, then use an AMS mixer Smoothing mode to dial back the response as needed. |

Sounds cool, not what I asked about though. |
