Well it wasn't Korg it was ME! I got a bit snippy with Korg and the Nautilus as it hiccupped too many times at the start. However, not realizing these modern instruments have sophisticated software (I just expected it to work 100%) I spoke to the main guy at Korg, who was extremely helpful, and he emailed me the solution. Save any programs to a stick, install the latest update, then reload the factory settings. Maybe recalibrate the screen while you're at it.
I know you would be thinking... 'new synth' surely you shouldn't have to do that, but it IS packed with stuff so I guess as long as the update solves the problems (which it did) it can be forgiven.
The back-up from Korg has been excellent, which is very reassuring, and instead of being suspicious about the programming, I find I can program it very quickly, and to use on stage is a dream.
I find saving my brass combis in say H1-10 then string combis 11-23 organs
23-33 and so on (with the song name) because once you've found a good all round string and named it after the song title you'll probably use it more than the others and it saves hunting through the list of strings everytime and the tune you used it in is in your head.
So bring on the gigs and sod off Covid.
