Hi Patrick

Yes this is quite interesting - would like to get my hands on one.
Is it a better attempt at a Roland VR09??? I like the waterfall keys and wonder if the SLIDER & LED has a catch mode like the Jupiter-80 - wish Korgs had it - so good for performing - but it doesn't look hopeful in Daniel Fisher's youtube demo (Sweetwater)

Demo sounds are quite nice....

Pete Very Happy

Well I decided to buy this board. For a portable reproduction of good organ sounds and other features it looks promising. My first non Korg purchase in 20 years. Im a traitor I guess LOL

Roland VR09's main advantage is the VA synth (with full editability, via iPad). But I'd say the YC61 has better organ sound (though maybe not Leslie), better feeling keys and drawbars, better pianos/EPs, better patch selection facilities (8 buttons which can be used to select all 160 user sounds by bank, vs. 4 buttons that can only select the first 16 sounds), better MIDI functionality (drawbars send CC, user presets can include up to 4 MIDI zones, user presets can be selected via MIDI Program Change), better effect section (more hands on controls, and the different split/layered sounds can have their own effects).

UPDATE
This board is great !
It fits the mobile ease needs very well and its not a NORD.
Yamaha found a niche by looking around and copying another unit and then adding some enhancements that were truly useful.
The thing is built like a tank. Very Happy

It is a nice board. The closest Korg equivalent is the Vox Continental. The Yamaha is a lot more fully-featured overall, though. And to the extent that some Vox sounds may be better, you've got your Kronos, from which most of the Vox sounds are derived anyway. Though I do like the Vox action a bit better than the YC61's (which is still a very good action), and I like that it's available in a non-hammer 73.

Another strong board in this category is the new Hammond SK Pro.
