Hi, I'm experimenting with the use of wav files as backing tracks in a sequencer song. My plan is to play live with the song as backing track where one- or two of the tracks consist of real choir singing recorded as a wav file, but only for the chorus of the song.

How should I do this to be able to synchronize the tempo so the choir in the wav file begins exactly at the correct moment when the chorus begins in the song, if this is even possible?

First : Your wav files must be at the tempo of your sequence.

Then it is very easy (I use that everytime )

After having put your wav file in the audio track your sequence.
You go into the audio event edit window and then you will be able to adjust precisely and very easily the start of your wav file to sync it with your sequence.

Very simple and very easy.
At the evidence you make this for every wav file you want to sync.

Thank's! Sounds promising. I will get right to it and try! Smile

Hi again! Waking this thread up again. I have successfully been able to ad audio tracks to a couple of songs now and with them I had no need to adjust exactly when they should start playing in the song. But now I have new audio track (wav file) for a new song and this audio track does not begin exactly where I want it. I want it to start on exactly the first beat in measure one but it is recorded with 1-2 sec latency so to speak. I have tried to figure out how to adjust the starting point where the wav file should start but I don't really get it how to do this. And the parameter guide is hard to understand, at least for me.

Do you know about some tutorial some where that describes this? Or may be you already have a black belt doing this operation? Smile

All is in the audio event edit page

You go into the audio event edit window and then you will be able to adjust precisely and very easily the start of your wav file to sync it with your sequence.

Look at the up left corner of the audio event edit page. The solution is just there !
