I just purchased my very own WD1. I absolutely love it. I previously owned the wavedrum global. And loved it as well.
Ive got the remote editor as well and have begun playing around. A few things I'm not sure of yet. My thought is there is a PROGRAM (sound) and and ALGORITHM (effects, way the sound behaves?). The manual describes 100 different programs but 61 algorithms. Is this correct? Or... is the algorithm the "sound" and the program is how the (up to) 8 parameters are set? Meaning the (up to) 8 parameters within each algorithm the only available sound adjustment?
Second, when I play my wavedrum on my drum kit I get a fair amount of false triggering. I know the new version has an option for trigger sensitivity. Does that exists on the WD1?
These are the first of what I assume will be a long learning process, but I'm really excited and appreciate any help you all might have. Thanks
64 Algorithms to choose from are your start position
if you choose one, it comes up with its 8 standard values to adjust
then tune and decay and you have a new program.
really, only 10 parameters, did I miss sth. ?
the global has about 50
False triggering - maybe try a cloth on the head, easy to test.
or to desensibilize the skin, maybe just make it "stiffer" ??
or use the thickest skin you can get- just an idea
