Hi there, I am not versed or experienced at all in electronic music making and use hydrogen at the most basic of levels to hash out pieces for a street drum crew (like a samba band but with different instruments) that I help lead. We find that teaching beginners grid notation yiels more results than classical musical notation so generating notation is usually fairly straight forward.
I thought using a midi pad would be more user friendly than endlessly clicking on the mouse and hydrogen users rave about the nanopad. thing is, theyre all linux heads and well well versed in programming and midi protocol .
hydrogen sees the nanopad2 in set up but doesnt register its presence in the workspace in windows. Even with factory set scenes installed there should be a few of the standard drums mapped out.
can anyone point me to an idiots guide to achieving control of a custom kit in hydrogen with the nanopad2?
Alternatively, what is a user friendly platform for scoring drumparts with idiot proof nanopad2 compatability on a windows machine?
Thanks |
