Hey there im new to the forum and a long time Korg owner and am ready to pull the trigger again on the wavestate . But what i cant seem to find any examples of it doing trance supersaws . Im just wondering if its a strong or weakpoint for the synth ? i understand its a 90s tone synth and the 90s style supersaws is what im after like the jp8000 and the virus .It certainly does some of the best pads ive ever heard and i bet the basses are no different. any help would be appreciated thank you Wink

I Had a quick peak at the wavefroms list this morning and I cant see anything specifically called a 'supersaw' in this category. It has about 10 saws up and 10 down, from ms20, prophet etc. There are also plugin guru sounds which have some saws but I didn't really see anything standing out there.

You could always load your own supersaw forms into it, although not sure how easy it is to get nice pure supersaw forms. Maybe plugin guru have a pack for sale including them?

I would have though the wavestate isn't the best for this type of sound though as maybe PWM on a supersaw is key to create that sound you are after?

I may try and have a look again tonight if time.

Superwave P8 is a free VST that focuses mainly on the Supersaw. Why not sample the raw waveform and load it into your Wavestate?

Kind regards

I think you need to be aware that the oscillators are sample based and not modelled, so there may well be samples of super saws (as mentioned above), but they will not quite be the same as the real deal and the control you may have over them or the movement between the saws (depending on synth).

That may or may not be important for you. Treat the Wavestate for what it is good for: an evolving PAD monster

If you are after Virus type sounds and are OK with VSTs, have you tried out Viper or Dune?
