It does look cool though.
Would love to see this being a feature in future workstations adjustable in GLOBAL mode.
Kind regards
Sharp. _________________

Hi there,
Sorry I'm late to the party as I rarely visit the news forum. Indeed, I did a few mods on my Kronos 2 which I now call my Kronos 7.
I added colours to the LEDs because I felt plain white was too bright for my eyes in dark environment like my studio. Also, since I do lots of sampling and programming, to permanently get rid of back/neck/head aches I did this quite complicated but useful adjustable angle LCD screen mod. Since then, my Kronos LCD is almost constantly at full angle position except when I play standing up. I also added a direct FTP connection, improved the AT threshold, etc. |

I can sympathise, I suffer the same and is one of the primary reasons I use synths with fixed screens less these days, and I'm only 43.
You can of course tilt the whole keyboard, but then that places stress elsewhere - on the wrists, arms and shoulders - and RSI/carpal-tunnel is a PITA.
Thus a screen that tilts is almost essential for decades of ergonomic usage.
Your mods also look cool as hell, btw, love the LED colours. Not only do they look great, they're even more useful. _________________ [Free Moss Set For All Workstations With Moss Expansion]

Hi there and thank you for your nice comments.
Indeed, when I did the colour LEDs mod, it was first to reduce the plain white intensity and then I thought that coloured buttons can help in various ways, so I tried to colour code all those special functions depending on which mode you are (combi, disk, sampling, the EQ and tone adjust LEDs and so on), etc. |
