|
|
hello, I have had a Triton Le for many years but I have never tried to program any sound of my own and my ignorance is maximum. I've been trying to emulate the sound of "Walk of Life" by Dire Straits for a while, but my knowledge is poor. I ask you please if someone can help me to get that sound in my Triton Le. Thank you so much everyone. |

There is a lot of things happening in the intro of that song.
I'm sure you can find an organ that sounds relatively similar but the lead sounds seems to be a layer of a couple of things.
I quick youtube search turned this up:
https://youtu.be/Acy9O6Hbb3o
For finding the right sounds i would start with any initialized program and then just turn on one osc and audition all the waveforms until you find one closest to that DX7 sound. Same for the sawtooth sound. Thats the way to incrementally build the program. You may not find the exact sounds but filtering is the major way to alter the sound. Or else you have to live with something that sounds similar. There is a free DX7 emulator for windows out there https://asb2m10.github.io/dexed/
This can help you with DX7 sounds. The DX7 is/was very difficult to program so it is likely that the album was done with one of the DX7 presets.
If you have never programmed your Triton LE there is a learning curve you will have to deal with.
So I'm not really coming to you with an answer rather a method for you to build the sound you want.
BTW I found this also:

Muchas gracias amigo mío, sí que es cierto que estas cosas necesitan un aprendizaje. Creo que voy a probar con los pasos que me has dado, te agradezco mucho la información. Los enlaces a Youtube que me envías ya los había visto, intentaré juntar toda esa información y ponerme a trabajar.
Muchísimas gracias.
