AFAIK
- One paired stereo sample is one position , two mono samples take 2 positions
- 160 notes polyphony of one paired stereo sample
- As in Pa4X , Korg claims for lossless , my Lab investigation had shown in the past that some high frequencies had been lost.
- Porta AMS is the same as in Korg Pa4X _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer PaSeries Demos - WavesArt.eu - KorgPa.gr <> Facebook Keyboards : Steinway-D, Kronos X, Pa5X 76, Pa4X 76, Montage M7 , Roland-XV88, Emu3,Emax II,Synclavier II,Yamaha DX Series, ΟΒ-8V

I use legato+time portamento on monofonic sounds both on Kronos and PA4x(like mono portamento on Yamaha DX). I love the way it works on Kronos, but on PA4x it works very, very bad. There is improvements of this in PA5x?

Which manual says you can’t import a midi file to a style. I use that function almost always and dependant on it 100%. I already pre ordered a PA5x and waiting for the reference manual to check these things. _________________ Korg Pa4X, KRONOS 2 LS, Roland Fantom 6, Yamaha PSR SX 900, Integra 7, Roland TD 50x Module, Mac Pro Intel Xeon, RME fireface 802, Audient ASP800, Cubase 12 Pro;
Only Advanced Edit Manual has references on those functions and has not been released yet ...
be patient and stay focused on basic announced features , and read front page ! _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer PaSeries Demos - WavesArt.eu - KorgPa.gr <> Facebook Keyboards : Steinway-D, Kronos X, Pa5X 76, Pa4X 76, Montage M7 , Roland-XV88, Emu3,Emax II,Synclavier II,Yamaha DX Series, ΟΒ-8V
Chord sequencer:
According to my tests, it works if you record the chords yourself, or it can load - import from MIDI if the midi contains chord marks. Detection of chords from MIDI if the midi does not contain chords is NOT.
apart from this, this function works OK, for me it works well, it is good to improve it.
What's inside is always interesting, but this is a boring video with horror background music.
It's mostly focused on the 19V powersupply unit that is similiar to most laptops and a HDMI cable.
When first open up this unit and take pictures (video), it could be done much more informative and interesting. _________________ Cheers 🥂

I have been testing this a bit.

After quite a bit trying I have not been able to do this. You can transpose the Chord Sequence, but the Sequencer Must be Armed and not playing (Flashing Orange or Blue) - however the keyboard transposes with it. Toggles available are Keyboard (which seems to control both keys and chord sequences), SONG, SCORE, and MIDI IN Notes

I don't believe on screen sequence editing is possible at this time. Would be a great feature though. However you can very easily look at the sequence and re-record your own. Save that to a user file, and associate that with the Style you wish to play. _________________ Dave Kalbach

Musical Question for the group.
In all of this experimenting - I'm wondering why KORG (not knocking anyone) decided to allow you to save Chord Sequences, as opposed to progressions.
If I saved Chord Progressions - I could then bring the one's I use most often into any style and in any key. Or even trigger a different key prior to starting the Style. _________________ Dave Kalbach
