Hi
I had pa4x 76 but when I saw pa5x 76 i noticed its bigger and heavier thank 4x76
So i decided to buy pa5x61 for my stage performances.
I dont know why 76 version became bigger and heavier. Pa5x76 is not
appropriate to lift and go outside😥
What you think guys? |

Compared to PA4x-76, the PA5x-76 is:-
1kg (2.2lbs) heavier
1.2cm (0.5") longer
1.0cm (0.4") deeper
Can't figure out why this would be a problem unless the PA4x-76 is already too heavy & big for you...

76 every time.
Because it is an arranger - hence more comfortable space for left-hand chords and same for right-hand lead.
I find 61 arrangers a little too small.

Yes me too i like 76 . but I already bought pa5x 61 keys and I have to deal with it however for live performance 61 version is more portable and easy handling . I have pa4x 76 and I had a little problem with the size |

I know these wooden end panels look really pretty nice but they are not suitable for live performers who set up their keyboard somewhere else each week. For musicians in the living room they will remain beautiful. Live musicians have to transport it very carefully to keep the value of the keyboard. I had recently spoken with Thomann. They had a visit from a Korg employee who showed a very early 5x prototype. The wood was totally scratched and looked like a 10 years old keyboard.
They are also responsible for the fact that a case from the Pa3x/4x cannot be used for the Pa5x because making the keyboard longer.
I like these solid aluminum end panels that make the 4x durable for daily live usage for ages. The 5x has become longer because of these wooden end panels and the 76 version becomes 1kg heavier - for whatever reason - the 4x was too heavy even before ...

I have KORG pa4x and I am always in different places.
Problem 1 is transport - its too big for my car.
Problem 2 is weight - I have problem with my arms.
But, I love 76, I cannot play with 61 keys.....
I thought that KORG pa5x 76 will be lighter, I dint know why they didnt think about the weight.. .
I was ready to buy pa5x, but from reviews, I dont like it....
I am waiting if ROLAND will come back _________________ 2022 = Korg PA5x

I already bought pa5x 61 and unfortunately it's a little small because I adapted with 76 keys from 16 years playing keyboard . Anyway pa5x has too bugs I strongly recommend dont buy this unfinished product . I realy regrets 😔 I want to sell my pa5x maybe I pull out from korg and go to yamaha genos I dont know 🤔🥺🥺💦💦💦 |

+1,
I still use my Pa4X 61 keys for gigging weekly.
I take airplane sometimes for the gigs.
Once I traveled by airplane for a gig and I put my Pa4X-61 (30.64 lbs) in a hard case plus some cables and accessories. The weight went over 50 lbs and I was charged $300 for extra weight.
Since then I don't put cables inside the hard case to stay under 50 lbs.
I don't have yet the Pa5X-61(33.29 lbs) so I guess traveling by airplane with Pa5X-61 keys within a hard case, for sure I will pay extra money which is not convenient.
Pa4X-61 weight: 30.64 lbs
Pa5X-61 weight: 33.29 lbs
The Pa5X-61 is 2.65 lbs heavier than Pa4X-61. |
