I'd like to make a suggestion, but wanted to get input from others before adding this to the list of Suggested Improvements.

As a new player, I typically play Left Hand Octaves (Root Note) to my Right Hand Chords. Originally I set Chord Recognition to Three Finger, because it seemed the most "proper." As my playing has improved, albeit slightly, I find myself sometimes starting with Right Hand melodies while still Playing Left Hand Octaves. Playing in such a way has caused me to change my Chord Recognition Setup to One Finger...

One Finger, with Sync Start, means an accidental bump on the keys and a style just starts playing.

Should there be Two Finger Chord Recognition? I feel there are likely many people playing Octaves, as opposed to Left Hand Triads.

Hi Dave, have you tried the other modes as well.
You can get it to recognise r/h chords instead of left.

In advanced mode you can also play without a split point. (Good for piano.)
(Might work for your style of playing)

( Manual page 174, just in case you haven’t come across it)

Yes, I usually start with a RH Chord, so I had both Upper and Lower Recognition Areas set. I hadn't thought about my setup until I started Arpeggiating the right hand. An Octave and another Root (3 G's for instance) doesn't trigger Chord Recognition.

I may give the One Finger Plus a try, but those options won't work if the keyboard is split

Just thought many people play Left Hand Octaves, but looks like that might just be a beginner thing
