|
wouldn‘t it be much better for us (and for production of the Keyboards) if the Musikant Version would be delivered as an Add-On?
The special Front plate with some german Words mixed with english ones don‘t make much sense for me and everyone who makes Music in Germany understand the Words. In the Display all is english, so no reason for this Frontplate.
Korg would not need to produce two Versions and Customers would not have to wait 6 Months longer to get a Pa5x. that would be much easier for Korg.
I know that Musikant Version is from another Korg developper, but wouldn‘t it be much easier to handle for all?
So please Korg make Musikant as Add-On instead of two Hardware-Versions. _________________ ——————————————

Rueben
Added your request to my running list (spreadsheet) of desired features. You may want to do the same here on the forum.
I agree an Add-On would be better. I owned a 4X Oriental. When I purchased it I thought more was better. I have never seen the Musikant here in the US though. Doesn't mean they don't exist, I've just never seen one. As I understood them, they were produced in Europe, and had more drum styles and sounds _________________ Dave Kalbach

Korg actually has experience of doing this. They have a Musikant add-on for the lower model, pa1000 I believe. So it would be awesome if everybody around the world could convert their pa5x into Musikant version! |

with the pa1000, it can be added and gives the extra tab with all the Musikant. It completely will enhance your pa. As the styles are not only more European, but are very familiar to songs we play..with add on, you have factory, Musikant, user and direct…I do not believe you need special hardware to play the Musikant styles…I use the add on styles with my standard pa1000… |

If Musikant Addon was available, existing Pa5x Musikant version wouldn't make sense. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison

I believe the Musikant version will never reach the USA market. The third party software is our only choice and it works well… |

I have never understood Korg's need to produce different incompatible versions of their arrangers.
Why not a "one arranger feeds all" with OS options if needed - they'd sell more keyboards!!!

For the Pa5x Oriental, the request is already granted.
At the end of this video : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IhWJn2ITefc
Michel DEUCHST said (in french) that instead of an oriental version of the Pa5x, Korg will release only an oriental sdcard witch will add more samples, styles, keyboard sets, etc.
Since the Pa5x has 2 sdcard slots, i presume that one slot is specific to those sdcards.
Maybe, those sdcard will also extend the user ram by 2 gb. Time will tell. _________________ Pa4x 76 - Sy77 |

I like the concept - and would buy the card...

The MUSIKANT version has a long history and tradition. For the markets in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and BeNeLux sounds and styles are made, which are especially and in addition needed in this region. This was already the case with the Pa3X and Pa4X.
The Pa5X-MUSIKANT version is not a simple add-on: the styles and sounds in the keyboard will be sorted differently especially for this region and above all remixed together! Also international styles are readapted/revoiced with the new sounds (and also the earlier produced Pa4X sounds)! This would not work with any AddOn.
The MUSIKANT will be a strong, own and compact unit, all sounds and styles are musically balanced. Therefore, unfortunately, there can be no AddOn for Pa5X.
I hope I could clarify the topic a little bit.
Greetings, Jürgen |

Thank you Juergen for clarifying this.
But I still think that it would be much easyer to have one Hardware Version of the Pa5x and have different Software Versions (international, German, Oriental) of them.
So I would buy a international Version of Hardware and later change (maybe a Crossgrade) to the Musikant Version.
Korg would be able to sell one single Version of Pa5x with different Software.
I know that there is a special Front Plate with german Words on it. But on Korg's Pictures of the Musicant I see that some is in english and some is German. I don't know the reason for the German-English Mix because Users will have to know the english words.
And the Plate costs Money and time for Manufacturing a different Model Series.
In my Case - I am not sure to buy the Musikant Version. I think it would be great. But I allready have selled my Pa4x and did hope to get a Pa5x. But now it seems to be February or March 2023 to get one if I want the Musikant.
If the International would be possible to Crossgrade to Musikant (without the special Frontplate) I can buy a International as soon as it will be available. So I have to wait another half Year - that means that I won't wait for the Musikant. _________________ ——————————————
