|
|
I'm trying to add a Karma program to an existing combi. Unfortunately, the Karma arp is affecting the other program. I haven't been able to find information on how to stop that from happening.
Please help me _________________ Current Gear: Korg Kronos, Yamaha MODX, Hammond XK-1 |

Have a look at the Operations guide starting at page 234. KARMA with combinations is at page 240.
There’s a lot more detail in the Parameters Guide and some great tutorials on YouTube if you want to get geeky, but there’s enough in the Op Guide to get you going.
Basically, in combo mode, each Karma module has a MIDI in channel and a MIDI out channel. Try this:-
1. Set the program you want affected by Karma to a MIDI channel different to the Global MIDI channel. Unless you’ve changed it, the Global channel is 1 so 2 would be the obvious choice.
2. Set the Karma module input to the Global MIDI channel. This should connect the physical keyboard to the module.
3. Set the Karma module MIDI out channel to 2 or whatever value you set in line 1 above.
4. If you want to hear the notes you played as well as the Karma output tick the MIDI thru’ on that Karma module.
Note that Karma can be limited by key range so you may have to play with that. _________________ Now let’s think of a reason why it CAN be done... |
