Hey guys

In Style Edit Mode under 'Event Edit' and then when you are selecting 'Track' in older PA models there was a 'Master' to select, and here you could of set a 'Tempo' for each Variation, this is now missing and i cant figure out how to have a different tempo for each Variation, anybody knows where this has moved and how to overcome this issue now?

Someone who has a pa5 told me that in the micro edit or event edit you can add an extra note for a different tempo in each variation, and that it is written in the manual

Hi , haven’t got access to my keyboard at the moment, it’s called tempo scaling. It’s added in the drum track in event list edit. It can’t be added on the first beat of bar , you just need to add it 1 tick past beginning ( something like 01.01.001 or .002 can’t check it myself at the moment), just add an event and scroll thru the options ie note, controller etc till tempo scaling pops up.

Thanks guys,

It works !

However after you insert that second note and change it to tempo Scaling, you need to adjust time so it ends up being the first note again, otherwise the style has millisecond issue where it goes back to the old tempo again and it skips the beat.

Hi, ok, thank you for that advice, I haven’t actually used it yet, so I’ll keep that in mind.
I couldn’t believe they left out the master track.
I’d scrolled thru those controllers a number of times to found out what controllers existed, but always on the first beat of the bar.
Didn’t realise it could be done till someone mentioned it.
I was about to go to sleep when I spotted your message, so had to go off memory.
Glad you got it working.
