PA5x with Mobile Sheets

Hi All
I have been using a tablet running Mobile Sheets pro(Zubersoft) to display my sheet music. Up until I got the PA5x I was using a PA4x & had it working so that if I selected an entry from the songbook on the KB it would load the music on the tablet & vice versa.
Now on the PA5x it will only work when I select from KB but not if I select the music on the tablet,
The same happens on a second tablet which leads me to believe that it something on the PA5 x that's wrong.
HAs anyone else had this experience & maybe solution?

Zubersoft doesnt have korg pa5x, but is very eager in helping and fixing issues.

It is me that Mike Zuber has posted about. I have had several conversations with Mike regarding this problem & he is trying hard to find a solution.
I think my next step must be directly with Korg.

Issue may be with Mobile Sheets I'm afraid...Selecting songs from my ipad works fine!

Using the NRPNs and CC#'s. One thing I have noticed is the PA5 Songbook does not automatically number the entries and to be selected an entry MUST have a number, So you do need to manually number them.

Not sure if a numbered PA4 songbook file converted to the PA5 retains the numbering created on the PA4 Songbook or Editing program. But might be something to check.

PAX In my case it the reverse. Songs load fine from the KB to my Android tablet but not the other way. All numbering transferred perfectly from PA4x & nothing has changed on the tablet either in the Android settings or in Mobile sheets.
So all a bit of a mystery.
It would be interesting to hear from any user of Mobile Sheets & PA5x to see if they have the same problem or whether they have found the solution.

And forgive the silly question, but you DO have channel 16 set for control under IN in as well as OUT?

Yes I do have Chanel 16 set to control both in & out.

Ok , well if the tablet IS sending the correct message string, and the songbook entries are numbered, I can see no reason why the PA5 is not responding tbh.

Try different in/Out channel

Confirm above the problem still exist.
You need to click twice on the Songbook entry to open text in MobileSheets. It works fine in the opposite direction.

The above works but not exactly the same manner as in pa4x (read: it looks that there is a bug at pa5x site)

hi folks,

just checking to see if anyone still needed this problem resolved. I recently purchased Mobile Sheets and I must say that I absolutely LOVE this software. It has so many functions; even things like face recognition to turn pages (yes you can set up a left and right wink to turn pages!).

I was successful in Mobile Sheets Free and Pro versions sending MIDI to my PA5X (1.3.1) when selecting a songbook entry for a few test scenarios. I am currently uploading all of my sheet music into it via the Companion software option on my laptop.

So many more features on Mobile Sheets, it is a must app for folks that cannot play by ear and need a stack of sheet music like me.

Sending midi from mobilesheet into pa5x is ok, but not in the opposite site ( sending midi from korg pa5x into software)

I've been struggling for months to solve this problem on my PA5X.
My setup includes an FCB1010 midi pedal which sends MIDI messages to turn pages in MobileSheets, to select a songbook entry and to select a function in the PA5X (e.g. keyboardSet or variation).

I achieve this by using a midimerge device as explained in the attached sketch.
However, it works in the Songbook to MobileSheet direction, but not in the other direction.
This doesn't bother me as I prefer to select the input from the PA5x rather than from the MobileSheet.
