Is there anyway to discovery easily what controls which controls are controlling which parameters? For example, I have some programs that do something when I change some knobs or the joystick control, but sometimes it's a little difficult to find which parameter is being modified.

I've mentioned it often, get the great TidyKronos freeware. One of its features is just what you are looking for. Simply google to find a download link.
