Has anyone removed the wooden side cheeks?
My Pa5x76 is approx 40mm wider than my Pa4x.
I reckon if I removed the end cheeks, and replaced them with something thinner, I could use my existing case. _________________ Pa5x-76, Pa4x-76, Pa3x-76, Pa1x-pro, Korg i3, 2 x Korg i30, Roland Bk-9, Yamaha sy85, Kawai K1 mk2, Roland D-05,JP-08 (x2), JU-06 and JX-03, JU-06A,TR-08,TR-09, VP-03,K-25M (x5), JU-06A

If you like the wooden cheeks (I do), might it be worth taking them to a cabinetmaker to plane them down nicely - enough to get your board into its case? Planing down the inside surfaces won't mar the outer finish. |
