Do you have the same problem ?? |
Yes! I too have a LED failed on the Style Bank Select and , from what I have read on this Forum, I dread more failures each time I power up my Pa2x. This does spoil the pleasure I expected from the keyboard.
I live in a remote area of France and had the keyboard shipped from Hamiltons Music in the UK - not so easy to get the keyboard collected and shipped back for repair.
Regards

Korg...I hope you see this post..
The question is: Is this a known engineering problem? ( I think so)
AND What can be done to fix this...a recall of all PA's?
Is this only effected on a certain range of S/N's????????
Only certain Country's ?????
We want to know.
Thanks,
Lee |

The life span of PROPERLY SPECIFIED LED's is an eaterity...
If these are blowing then they are not the correct LED's for the job...or there is a power supply problem or other hardware malfunctions causing this. Since it seems to be random LED's then I think it is just the wrong LED's. It is still possible that there is a voltage running too high in the keyboard as well putting the diodes at risk.
THese should NOT blow with any kind of normal use for many years.
Everyone with a problem needs to call Korg service and find out what is going on.
All mine are fine so far..I want to know if the issue has been taken care of in later keyboards or is it still an issue.
I am going to call Korg USA distrbutor tommorow and find out.
I wander if it depends on the country the keyboard is used in and their line voltages????

Yes. Apparently, it's specific to Pa2X and only some units. A whole set of LED's can have been outside specs, unless it's their power supply circuit!
Gathering S/N of faulty Pa2X have been undertaken in other forums e.g. www.audiokeys.net and sent to Korg representatives. _________________ Korg Pa800, Pa50, i30, Hammond E111, Edirol PCR-800, M-Audio Audiophile FW, Cakewalk Sonar LE, Band-In-A-Box, Harmony Assistant, VB3, MrRay73, Pianoteq... |

According to a Korg repair shop (they received an email from Korg), Korg began ordering new PCB's to replace faulty ones .
Any confirmation? _________________ Korg Pa800, Pa50, i30, Hammond E111, Edirol PCR-800, M-Audio Audiophile FW, Cakewalk Sonar LE, Band-In-A-Box, Harmony Assistant, VB3, MrRay73, Pianoteq... |

On my keyboard i've got about 10 of them not working.
Every month one blows.
Always playing in one room, and power is good in the house. |
