Can anyone recommend a way forward, to test a mini 700s. The circuitry assigned to the front panel has stopped working and the other VCO (assigned to the top panel) will run until the tuning slider on the top panel is drawn towards the front and the frequency drops. The noise then ceases to work, but will start to operate again after a power-off rest of about 2 minutes. The lower frequency triggers a temporary failure to work. No obvious features of capacitor deterioration, bad wiring or loose components. What on earth would cause this? Sad

Just a guess but I assume it's a power supply issue...
Check the circuit diagram and monitor the power supply output...
