Agreed, the problem is not the size of the screen.
So far I have only seen pics and vids of the Kronos, so I'm waiting to see a real Kronos to make a judgment, but from what I have seen the problem may come from the size of the virtual buttons and from the size of the fonts.

I'm wondering about the screen's size. This article isn't new: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2011/02/nine-keyboards-in-one-extensive-qa-gallery-for-korg-on-kronos-son-of-oasys/.

Question is wether the screen shots on the article are scaled 1:1. Is this the actuall size? Smaller? Larger than on the Kronos?

The screen shots in the article are 640x480 in pixelsize. I think the Kronos has a 800x600 pixel screen, so it looks probably bigger in reality.

("Probably", because it also depends on the resolution of the display you read it on and and the display of Kronos.)

Korg should have included a stylus.

Even after I calibrated Kronos screen, it wasn't as responsive as I would have liked. I have large stubby fingers. lol

So I went out and purchased two types of stylus...one Touch pen designed for the iPad ($14) with a soft rubber type tip and one designed for the Nintendo DSi ($3) with a smaller plastic tip.

The DSi stylus works as good or better than the more expensive on. Both of them work significantly better than my fingers.

Thanks for your report.

That confirms the virtual buttons on the touch screen are too small.

No. All that confirms is that the posters fingers are large.

As my Wife always says..... "Size is merely subjective" Laughing

Dunno what size your hands are, jahrome. Mine are big, and styluses are too short for me to comfortably hold them.

If you feel the same, try this: I let a "M" felt tip pen (a comfortably long one) dry (half a day in the sun is enough).

Perfect and inexpensive for the M3, hopefully for the kronos as well.

Now that all the manuals are released, Does anyone know if you can add an IPAD... or larger display monitor to the USB port?

Also I have an idea.. how about using one of those slip on rubber fingertip stylus ... heres one here. Then you wont have to keep picking up the stylus all the time!!

LMAO!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

No. no. Shouldn't be so mocking - *SOME* people won't even use the keybed - they'll control it via mouse from their DAW....

But as a keyboard-player, I did find that funny - thank you Very Happy

We never said that, I defy you to produce a link to it, thanks for the misinformation.

We said "touch it with a fingernail" - as in the normal edge of a normal fingernail. Works for me every time.

(of course, maybe you chew yours off, so that could be a problem...)

usual bullshit

the whole world and his dog is complaining about the tiny screen controls,

and the problem is "my misinformation" and the exact shape of a fingernail.

I see.

That's the Bill Clinton "it depends on what sex means" school of thought.

come to think of it......

and this HAS been bugging me all weekend.

Was Jerry's tail a USB, the more older PS2, or the ancient serial (9-pin dsub) connection.

My guess is that he's not optical either....
