Copied everything over to the memory stick.
Told Kronos to update.

Installation started, but is now "hanging" on :-

Updater Version 1.6.0
"Installing files..."

Been like this for the last hour or so.....

Not too sure how to proceed.

Don't really want to pull the plug on it, as I don't have a USB DVD drive.

Any suggestions?

no problem here, was very very very fast. did you copy the 7 files/folders (except manuals) , at the root of you usb stick ?

I must admit that I had to hold my breath while I updated the OS. I had problems with 1.5, lost everything and to reinstall from the DVD's.

No problems with 1.6 though.

Scooby... Did you backup your files, just in case?

And did you copy the files inside the folder to the USB stick... not the folder itself.

yeh, backed up the main files so no big issue there: just the PITA of finding a usb-based DVD in the middle of nowhere on Easter Weekend Sad

Might try a power "off" with a new memory stick. might have failed whilst in transfer....

Thought "fook it"...... turned Kronos off, took out the stick.... and re-booted.....

Currently looking at V1.6.0 and on the main set list screen.

All sounds working a-ok!!!

Sooooo..... dilemma.
Do I re-install 1.6 just to double-check everything's installed?

Surely if it's come up with 1.6, then all is good!!!

FWIW, just trashed my unzipped files from my Mac (10.7), and re-unzipped.

Still came up with the same file sizes as stated in the attached pic.......

I'm not quite as lucky as you.
I have all the correct files on my USB drive. It's the same one I used to update the Kronos to 1.5.
My screen was stuck at "Finalizing changes".
7 hours later (I went to bed), it's still stuck on the screen.
So I pulled the USB and restarted the Kronos.
Now I have the screen"
"System cannot start due to a file system error. Please reinstall system software. (1)"

How in th world do I do that?
