Same problem here with Cubase 4.5.2

Well this is the way i can record Arpeggio in sync in Cubase 4.5.2:
Micro X settings: LOCAL ON MIDI CLOCK AUTO RT OFF POST MIDI
(MULTI MODE ONLY)
Connected USB and a MIDI OUT
(from Micro X midi out)cable to MOTU MTP AV midi in (Channel
Cubase 4: Track 1 MIDI IN Main Controller (Photon)
MIDI out Micro X plug in
a)Record MIDI
Track 2 MIDI IN MOTU MTP AV midi out Channel 8
MIDI out NOT CONNECTED
BTW Cubase must be sending MIDI CLOCK destination to the Micro X (project syncronization set up)
First record the arpeggio you want in the track 1 (you´ll see only midi key,no real arpeggio pattern)
Second reproduce this track and activate record on track 2 (you´ll see the arpeggio pattern recorded)
Finally select on track 2 MIDI OUT Micro X Plug and you´ll hear and see your Micro X arpeggio pattern.
In resume: Micro X needs to be in local on,post midi, midi clock auto & rt off in order to send thru MIDI OUT the arpeggio patterns and only works in MULTI MODE.
Cheers
If only things could be easier....
