My old Technics KN7000 uses an SD Card to a very great extent to store my settings for all my songs that I play but it does not work with an SDHC Card only the older SD Card.
Can anybody tell me whether the SD Card being used in the PA4X can be either one or the other?

Manual doesn't say so I would assume any microSD which implies the smaller SD card.
The size of the slot will determine whether it will take the larger SD adapter for a micoSD card.

Hopefully someone with a PA4X can confirm.
My guess is microSD only as that is the only reference in the manual.

Smaller uSD cards work the best because they only have one partition. I've heard that the bigger storage cards have two partitions which causes a problem. All you have to do is repartition the larger card with only one partition and it will work.

32Gb is only 1 partition. Bigger chips are 2 partitions.

Hi Mstodola
I was under the impression 32gb is a limit. what do you mean "Bigger chips are 2 partitions"?
Thanks

No, 32Gb is not the limit. Other people on this site have used bigger chips, they just had to repartition them. I've checked this out. I looked at a 32Gb chip and it only had one partition. Then I looked at my larger chips and saw that they use more than one partition. I repartitioned a larger 64Gb chip to one partition and it worked.

I thought that my Pa4x uSD port had died. I was using larger chips which my unit was able to see for a while but sometimes would not boot correctly. Finally with updates, my Pa4x did not see that it had a SD chip at all. Like I said, I made a rant that my port was dead. But it turned out using a 32Gb chip solved the problem. That is when others mentioned that it was a partition problem. I verified it but stayed with the 32Gb chip which is more than I will ever use. I have a 76 key version with a drive so I don't really need the uSD. But it was nice to know that my uSD port was not dead.
