|
|
Hi guys
Just watching this again (and THANKS Daniel)
https://youtu.be/4xlStvSBQbo
(and other PA4X videos)
I definitely hear some nice subtle sound improvements but in some cases it is little more than DSP
Also this youtube clip plays the PA4X slightly louder which I have adjusted when repeating it.
Like many, I am still wondering about this new beast.
I am sure I'll end up with it - there are some great new features which I will definitely enjoy.
Let's face it, there are very few (if any) "keyboard model updates" which justify the "change-over" cost (not just Korg)
I have to try to ignore the cost to some extent and focus purely on my musical needs first.
I think that, this time (and for the first time) I will end up with PA3X AND PA4X together for a while.
Doubt if I am going to get to touch one for a few months yet.
Listen here you PA4X owners - THANK YOU so very much for all your feedback so far.
I am not at all worried about Korg and the issue of getting problems fixed. Of course this can be frustrating particularly when the product is so new.
Overall, I think I am more and more liking this new model but this is with thanks to all who have uploaded videos, reviews and feedback on the forums.
Sorry you are suffering a few bugs but I am sure they will be sorted appropriately if past experiences are anything to go by.
Cheers
Pete

Karmathanever Thanks a lot!
I remember with nostalgia, 8-9 years ago, this forum was dedicated support between users! Now everything has changed and users use this forum for other purposes, particularly those from other brands ... Unfortunately, that was the main reason that made me stop to help out with materials used in the series KORG PA !
Related to this KORG Pa4x I only have good words to say!
1. From my information, all reported bugs was solved by KORG, so that in the near future be included in the new OS!
2. I'll give a small news..
in KORG Pa4x, OS Run from internal Flash memory(4GB)
3. I recommend SSD for maximum smooth functioning of this instrument
Note; No need to install OS + Resource in case you want to change HDD with SSD! OS + Resource is installed in Flash memory (internal), so do not depend on HDD or SSD!
4. Besides the factory resources, in OSC's are exceptional new features and more natural to play any instrument used in tracks or solo!
5.All FX's are super useful
I hope KORG, implement compression sampler function to double up the 400Mb RAM!
To be honest, I'm very excited about this model KORG Pa4x!
Regards

OZDaniel:
Are there English subtitles in the works for your comparison between Pa-3x and Pa-4x? It seems like a really in-depth comparison and I think many people would like to read what you are saying, in English. Thanks. |

Pete: My JBL Pro studio monitors came in Thursday. Wow! I can really hear the difference in the PA4X demos now. I'll be seriously looking at the PA4X again as soon as I get the Kronos2 paid off
Daniel: Thank you for your contributions to the KorgForum! Really appreciate your taking the time to create the PA4X review. For a minute there I thought I was understanding the Română. Must have been the English loan words.
Best Wishes for the Holidays!!!
