I upgraded to 4X from 3X nearly two month ago and i am very disappointed by the 4X for these reasons:
- Even though It sounds way better than the 3X
- Is Lighter which is important for musicians on the go
- Has the video card Built in
- Has 400Mb of user PCM
- Better handling of the semi weighted keyboard
- WORKING midi to style function
- Configurable auto fill
- Direct styles From hard disk
- Larger more readable display
- All the PA3X old styles Remixed and revamped
- Better Sounding Midi files due to More dynamics on each sound
- A new Futur OS that will permit direct sample reading from SSD
The reason for my disappointment is that korg still didn't fix the possibility to mute or change the sound or volume of the tap tempo button, and took out the volume grouping sliders Drums, Bass, Acc.
So in a word, I am Really Disappointed that PA4X did not achieve perfection yet (but i would never go back to PA3X) |

Nothing is perfect. I LOVE the PA4X, but I agree with your comments on the tap tempo sound, and I wish they had left the sliders the way they were.
Still, there are too many great things to get upset over these.

Great post - you had me really going there for a minute.
Glad you're happy with it and yes, there is always room for improvement - so far Korg has been pretty good in that regard.
