|
|
I'm clocking my ES2 via MIDI from Ableton live and it plays along fine and in time - starts and stops as expected etc etc (clock mode is set as external MIDI )
However - if i set up a virtual instrument in Live the ES2 starts to play the MIDI notes from the DAW.
I fear I have missed something obvious here - can anyone help?
= = = =
EDIT - I am thinking I've f'ed up my MIDI receive filters. But any other comments more than useful and always appreciated. _________________ Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack. |

I had a similar issue, open the I/o button in live and check the routing so that the e2 isn't receiving any notes, I think that was my issue anyways! Shouldn't be too difficult to sort out. |

Also make sure the routing of the external instrument in live is correct
And then save it so you can recall it next time and not screw up the routing, I have external instrument called blofeld and iPad I just pull out when I need o use those synths |

Off-topic, but are you using the lite version of Live that came with the ES2? If so, does the audio-to-MIDI function work in this lite version?
I use 9 Suite so I don't know what functions are included in the bundled version of Live.. I want to create some sweet racks and tutorials regarding this, and I would like to make sure everybody has a chance to play and not just Suite users. Thank you! _________________ Visit https://ghostwrittenclips.com for a FREE pack of robot-war/mech/cinematic fx samples. =) |

Sorry.. i can't help you there. I am using Live 8 full version. I gave my lite license to a friend (who hasn't used it yet as far as I know - ungrateful swine!) _________________ Korg MonoPoly, APC 20, Ableton Live, NI Massive, Bass Station rack. |
