Anybody have a good synth for the chorus on this one? It's pretty fat with swells and I can't seem to get it right.

Would be awesome to really get the pre-chorus part as well, but it's not as recognizable as the chorus IMO.

Welcome to the Kronos forum, r3dclay.

This style is not my cup of tea, so I had to look up lyrics to see which part was the chorus and which were the verses. I'm not at my Kronos atm but here are my ideas:

Seems to me the swelling echo parts in the chorus are the same as used in the verses, just slightly higher voiced chords. The swell parts are easier to hear in the verses because it's not as busy.

The thing that gives the parts the most character is all the effects on them, rather than the base sound itself, which is just something like a piano pad. Try running a piano-sounding pad with a soft attack through a delay with quarter note repeats (x3), then thru a reverse reverb with a medium tail, then run that through a large room. The FX are very wet, but the overall volume is pretty quiet, with maybe some high end EQ rolled off as well.

Who's playing the bass part in the chorus? That seems to be more important than getting the pads exactly right. Bass and drums = dance, dance, dance, right?

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Right now on the verses I have a piano with a tremolo effect.

The chorus is definitely a synth, but I'll give your suggestion a try.

Our bass player is holding down the groove so the pocket and danceability of the song right now is fine, just know that I can give it a little more with the right patch.

This style is not my cup of tea either but it is what is. Alot of people love this music. I would try 1999 Power Synth with chorus and detune in IFX. The little rise before chorus i would use the joystick moving left to right. Synth sounds somewhat like Uptown Funk.

When he played this live at Eurovision, his keyboard player was playing an M3 and a Kronos, so it must be in there somewhere....
