I have installed the sound editor and the usb midi driver. and everything seem to work fine but the sound editor is not connected with the microkorg xl. anybody knows why? |

Hi,
What makes you think that everything seems to work fine?
Some points to check (assuming you have Windows PC):
* Do you have other MIDI devices (like usb-midi) installed on your pc? Under Windows, the XL must be listed as one of the first 10 MIDI devices, otherwise it does not work.
* Did you try different USB ports on your pc? If you plug the cable at another port, it may suddenly not work anymore. It gets fixed by running the Install Korg Devices utility and/or Configure Korg devices utility which comes with the Korg USB midi driver.
* Enable autoscan in the menu Options/Preferences of the sound editor.
