Step sequencer isn't circular. It is very tedious getting to the velocity screen.

11 minutes of basic coding for a junior EE; 8 minutes of that is checking in and out the files.

BPM LFO's should be musical values. They're already doing the computations, but they're mapping it to a continuous scale. Easy fix, big usability gain.

I wonder if now, after this news, the admin on the FB group will still delete all petition posts.
He mentioned that he had a „secret” reason to delete all those posts.
He probably knew from Korg about the release, so he thought thatn in light of those news the petition is pointless... Well, is it?

After editing and updating the petition we should try again. Over 3000 potential votes out there.

Tatsuya is also not the main recipient aftert the edit – the guy also had an issue with that.

So what wil his excuse be this time? Lets find out.

Will it be possible to update the petition and remove queries that were resolved with the latest update?
in order to show that some requests are still awaited.. Smile

(also the request #29 seems so obvious that it should be on the top of the list...
and #36 should be next to #8 & #9 since it talks pretty much about the same thing)

I believe so. I will delete the 2 that they "fixed" with the new update, and also install the latest update, and check on the other bugs.

taking out: pattern chaining (10) and UNDO (12)... is that it? Should I also remove (5) song mode? It seems that can be achieved using the "chain mode"

I don't think I will change anything else (re-ordering or clarifying) with the petition.

...edit... However, I did change whom the petition was directed, to reflect more appropriately a Korg employee with immediate connection to the instrument:

Ok perfect Cade!

perhaps an update of the photo (with the new boxes Blue / Red) could be strategic ... Wink

Wow... If he removes just your posts, sends you a PM with a „warning” or something – I would get that. But this...

Hey SMK – you've been a member of this group for a long time. Can you please talk some sense into this guy?

It is just plain wrong when one of the most popular E2 communiities is hijacked by a biased fanboy – thats how it looks right now. He is in serious denial — Synthopia, Sonicstate, Matrixsynth – all of them covered this petition.

@thebiglebowski

he posted a reply to my post with an angry Emoticon
which said something like this: "there have been an official update yesterday and you still support this petition?? Mad"

I wanted to answer him immediately, but I can not even do that because he excluded me from the group a few seconds later ...

impossible to have a right of reply
and discuss with this guy
I think it is a waste of time...

shame indeed for the 3000 followers of this Facebook group
(personally I am not too saddened to no longer be part of this group ...)

I have formulated my post by saying that this petition was an ideal way for Korg to draw some ideas for future developments and to better understand the expectations of their users

so we could see this petition more as an "aid"

obviously he does not see it that way ... Laughing

I find the new warning about pattern change lock being active quite annoying. It doesn't go away either, until you hit exit.

Still, the tempo synced delay bug seems to be fixed at last, yay!

indeed, it's incomprehensible
(they just forgot to make a pop-up screen...)
this feature was a cool improvement, but now ...

Do you also notice a gap in pattern chain mode?

I have never been quite sure if it is the way the patterns are implemented or if it is a hardware/software glitch. I haven't notice any in my pattern changes for a while now. But you can hear what appear to be gaps on the soundcloud demos they have on their site for the new patterns.

Listen to when it changes patterns in this one:

https://soundcloud.com/korg/10-dotwave?in=korg/sets/electribe-bonus-patterns

Personally I think it is mostly the way the patterns are implemented given the hardware/software.

Listening to that clip, there are three patterns, between 1 and 2, and 2 and 3, I hear what you are calling the gap, but I'm not so sure it's a gap, or rather an abrupt cutoff of sustaining note tails and fx tails. Either way it is jarring and extremely noticeable. In some cases you may want such an effect, in others not so much. Also at the end you can hear pattern 3 loop around without this jarring effect......

Either way it sounds like a gap or stutter or glitch, even if the timing is not actually going out of time.

Brilliant Cool
Done:

I think it takes a bit for change.org to update the image.

Cade. We need to make another add or update to the petition, ASAP.

The New Undo feature killed two existing and very helpful features.

Clear name short cut using shift+"<"

back menu group

We need Korg to reinstate these two features and move the Undo command to either Shift + Part Erase or Shift + Exit.

While some of us like the Undo feature (me included) Korg should have tested to make sure that the addition does not tank an existing feature or short cut.

While we are at it, Shift + 5 and Shift + 6 need to be short cuts to the new pattern "chain repeat" and pattern "chain to".

Please update the petition with these changes. Thanks!

OMG... 1000x thanks for reporting this. I just wanted to update this weekend, now I"ll wait a bit, see what else people find. Enterning pattern names just with one button and a dial will always be painfull, but this litlle shortcut was indeed a very welcome help.

Things like this really seem to show that they haven't spent much time working on it. So the petition is still relevant, no doubt about that.

Has anyone tried to downgrade to the previous OS?

PS. There is a funny and ironic thing about it though. You know who's complaining about it at the FB user group? The group admin Smile Same gentleman who's passionately banning all people who dare to link to the petition, even after the update.

I have updated my E2...which is fne. I have not updated my sampler because I want to make 1000% sure that allsample files from Brakios editor work right. Being able to use a sample editor for the ES2 has become so critical to my workflow.

On my E2, the undo feature was a total blessing. I love the undo feature. Pattern chaining I am still trying to figure out the best way to incorporate into my performance set up.
