hi guys, the right output channel isn't working unless I put the main volume to maximum.its the same with the headphones in.. I only get the left side until I put the volume on maximum.
ive had the keyboard to bits but cant see nothing wrong, ive cleaned everything.
do I need a new volume slider?last thing I need to do is to start taking it to bits again and re soldering a new one on as I'm heavey handed and probably break something else..
does anybody know where I can get this fixed,( county durham England area )im also having problems with calibrating the screen but again id rather not take it to bits again.
thanks a lot in advance |

The resistive track on the main volume control has probably broken close to the top end of the track. The best thing to do would be to replace the slider potentiometer with the correct replacement part.
It may be possible to repair the break with some conductive paint and a good quality magnifier or microscope, but that would mean removing the volume control and disassembling it. If the broken ends are able to move, they will need to be glued to a solid surface to stop them moving before applying the conductive paint.
I've done this sort of repair to a volume slider before, probably caused by a drop of rainwater getting in during an outdoor gig, evidenced by rust on the potentiometer frame. The repair is still going strong over two years later.
