of course it's possible. since the last update you can chain patterns. so you can take 2 4-bar pattern, chain them and you will have an 8-bar loop. |

You may find that chaining doesn't always make a 4 bar pattern into a seamless 8 bar pattern - it does, only if the pattern/or its underlying loop is uncomplicated enough that the chain makes no difference at the interval point. A standard 4/4 house pattern may, e.g., appear to become an 8 bar pattern on chaining, but for anything more complex, chaining is just not the answer: a bush fix on occasion and at best - but by no means is chaining the definitive replacement for 8 bars.
