Hello friends
i need help on some matter. i am a beginner in piano and i have no way at all to buy an acoustic one. so some teacher has told me to buy one of yamaha's CLP series which use GH3 keybed system because it is one of the most affordable simulations of real piano keybed. but since i am a fan of korg and actually play keyboard for my band and do need the portability, i am thinking about buying the SV-1 which has RH3 keybed. but i am in doubt as to whether this is as good as GH3 and i can actually learn to play piano with it without messing up my fingers. i know that probably everyone is a devoted fan of korg here but i really need help for this. so please tell me if anybody knows that.
thank you friends |

Unfortunately the short answer is you really need to try the actions out for yourself, as it's very subjective. What some players like, others don't.
Personally I really like the RH3 action in the Korgs. I also own an acoustic piano and I find the RH3 a little bit faster than my "real" piano action.
I can promise you it won't stop you from learning to play piano properly.
As to how it compares to the GH3 keybed, I'll leave that for others to comment upon as I've not tried the GH3. |

Arden,
I just switched from a Yamaha MOXF8 and can tell you the RH3 action is so much more responsive and solid. I had been spoiled by the keybed action on my Motif Classic (RIP).
Besides, the relevant sounds make all the difference for me.
Cheers!

MOXF8 has GHS action, not GH3. Although I haven't played GH3, it is a higher end action than their GHS which they put in their lower end models. |
