|
|
The band I’m in uses all In-Ears for monitoring and we always use a click.
There are several Programs and Combinations in the Kronos that we like that involve KARMA.
Is there way that the KRONOS can generate a dedicated click that is sync’d to Karma, and have the click routed out one of the individual outputs so we can hear the click only in our in-ears?
In-short: the primary sounds routed out of the Kronos’ Main L/R and the click routed out an individual out. |

Use Drum Track as Click.
Set Bus in Drum Track in individual out. |

Yeah, we do this all the time. In combi mode, set up a drum track on Track 10.
I use Int-F107 (Cuban Perc) for the kit as it has a nice wood block (clave) sound
Under the EQ/Vector/Control Tab go to "drum track" sub-tab.
Use Preset P417 - Metronome. This will generate a click (418 can also be used)
You'll have to set MIDI Channel to 10 (it defaults to 2, go figure)
Now go to the IFX routing page and route the output to "1". (Not IFX1).
Your click should now go to output 1. Drum Track Button on front panel will toggle on and off.
You may find that if your drummer wants this output louder then the volume slider goes (damn deaf drummers), you may need to route the click through an IFX for an amplifier first (I just use Tube Preamp Modeling and set the gain to 1.0-2.0 gain). Should fix the issue.
Make sense? |

Is there a way to send the drum track to Output 1/2 AND L/R in Program mode? Or do I have to make a Combi? |

Not sure if you route 1 track to both l/r and assignable 1 BUT you could make 2 clicks in a combi and route 1 to LR and one to 1.
You should always work at the combi or sequence level as many of the high end capabilities of the Kronos are unlocked at combi level. |

Yup, first read about this from one of Mike Conway's posts. Go to Common > Drum Track and in the BUS window for Bus Select choose L/R (default). Then choose an FX Control Bus as well (we'll go with 1).
Enable a Stereo Limiter 005 (or any Dynamics effect with side-chain monitoring) and have it's ENVELOPE source be FX Control 1. Enable the Side Chain Monitor box to listen to the FX bus. Route the Limiter to whatever output you like. _________________ paypal.me/CharlesFerraro |
