Yes. I've used them for years.

Not sure hat the problem could be.

What exactly is it doing? When you hit a note and aren't stepping on the pedal do the notes sustain? Also it may be fundamental but are you sure it's plugged into the damper jack.

You do have to change the polarity when using this pedal with the KRONOS.

In theory this pedal should work…..unless it’s faulty ??

Try calibrating it,if possible….Global etc.(That is..if it actually functions at that stage).

Any other keyboard available for testing ?

Not sure then. Like pedro5 said maybe it's faulty. I was thinking about the FC4 but figured since the only difference on your pedal is the half dampening.

Let us know what you find out!

The FC3 is Yamaha's half-damper pedal, and it won't work with the KRONOS unless it is rewired or used with an adapter that changes the connections... search this forum for postings with details on the mods required...

Finally i decided... to back to store the pedal... and i replace that with fc4a without half-damper.

I like FC4A because the action is quite... and sometimes in small (stage) i need that... Without hearing every click when i push down the pedal.

P.S.
also check yamaha motivator, but this is for another topic

Any luck with the FC3A/Kronos 2 combo? I went to replace my old trusty Roland sustain pedal with the FC3A to obtain half-damper capability, which Kronos supposedly supports. However, it remains in "always depressed" mode when I plugin FC3A, regardless of which sustain polarity option I select/write in Global settings. The pedal appears to function normally on my MOX board, so I'm guessing the polarity +/- switch isn't compatible with the half-damper style pedals. Has anyone gotten this to work, or can suggest a high-quality sustain that is compatible with Kronos and half-damper?

I currently use Yamaha FC7 expression and Roland sustain, which are not built like tanks. Just wanted to enable half-damper feature!

Maybe the Roland DP-10 or Korg DS1H would be a good pedal? The Roland has great reviews, and I love the idea of the rubber strip after chasing my pedal across hard wood floors at gigs for years...and I love the quality of my other Roland sustain pedal...but I'm not sure if it is compatible with Kronos.

My testing at the shop showed the Korg DS1H was the only one that worked reliably for half-damper with the Kronos.

As pointed out before wiring and resistance levels seem to differ with this.
Make sure you calibrate half damper when you get it plugged in (item is in menu in the Global page)

Thanks for the clarification! I guess I'll be purchasing the Korg pedal. And I thought the Yamaha product was expensive! This better be of quality to match the $$ m Confused
