Hey i have an Windows-PC and a miditech midi interface. Sound Editor works well until i want to paste patches in to MICROKORG Folder.

ERROR: Can't overwrite the device

Can u help me?

Hi,

Did you first disable the write protection on the mK?
Refer to p63 of the manual to disable it. In brief Shift+8 (display shows WTP), turn knob 1/Cutoff completely to the left (display shows OFF), press 8 again to confirm the disabling. Try then again your paste of the patches.

Thanks for your reply.

I already turned off the write protection as u described it. I also turned via shift + 4 the EG to E-e

Ok...
Do you have any indication that your MIDI connection is fine after all?
Meaning you can control anything else of the mK using the editor, except the writing of patches?

everything else just seems to work properly - but everytime its about writing on the device - i get that error.
