Whatever gave you that Idea
Have used and abused far more Korgs in my time than what I have now,How can you not like Korg synths!!Maybe I am a bit fanatical about Korg, still someone has to,I'm currently on my 3rd M1 and 3rd Wavestation and 2nd 01w,Vowed never to sell them on again..
Raven...Unusual synth that many people have maybe never looked into, its a beast for sure, and is a very powerful and rich sonic synth and built like a tank and its german so what else would you expect but a great synth from a german company, must be getting rarer to find now also,Ive only ever come across 2 for sale since they were made,in the Mid 90s the second one I bought
JD-800.This is also my second JD800 always regretted selling it on,but it had issues with the OS the first model so i sold it and always wanted to get another one..Best pad capable machine ever concieved, and possibly the machine that Kick started the return to the analog interface,Quite possibly one of the best looking synths ever made along with the Roland JP8000, and the few that I have rated from the Roland Camp, that and the D50 are certainly two of those cornerstone type synthesizers that changed the synth scene |

Currently the only keyboard I have is an Oasys 76. I also have an accoustic piano. Between those two they keep me busy and while I like the paino sound on the OASYS and other softsynths that I own, nothing and I eman nothing is like the real thing, well at least to me. _________________ And there was this one time at band camp...... |

I'm kind of like silverdragonsound, and have an Acoustic Grand (kawai-RX2), and an OASYS; but the 88 note variety –I also have a Triton Studio 61. What's it like silverdragonsound going to and from your OASYS and the piano? since the OASYS you have isn't weighted. I try to keep to weighted keyboards as much as possible, as my piano technique suffers (somewhat) if I spend too much time on weightless keybeds
I suppose the (my?) answer to the OP (original poster) in this thread is "I have a numerous amount of keyboards - even though I only own two! - and OASYS can be just about anything you want it to be compared to other keyboards, great Rhodes, Clavs, Piano strings, Analogue, EP's, lead, etc etc oh yes, and ”KARMA”!. I suppose I could get some "bragging" points by having dozens of keyboards on display, that to all intents and purposes, don't do much, if anything, more than a single OASYS
Workflow anyone….?
Oh, and RE: Acoustic piano's, you CANT beat the real thing, and since my Grand is good in the first place, makes it more obvious, but probably not so much with a cheaper, lesser quality piano.

OK here goes:
Oberheim Strummer, Drummer and Step Sequencer(name excapes me for the moment), Roland D110 and EMU Audity 2000 modules, Roland A90 EX Piano and Midi controller, Korg Trinity plus, Korg O1W FD, Korg Wavestation EX, Korg Karma, Mini Moog circa 1973, and Oasys 76.
Also a bunch of recording and anciliary equipment in the home studio. I spend most all of my time on the Oasys and the recording equipment currently. The rest has attained museum and eye candy status I'm afraid with the recent addition of the Oasys.

I presently own a Motif XS6 and a MicroKorg.
I used to own more Korg stuff though, including an 01/Wfd and a Polysix, and Roland D-50. Lost them in a fire a couple years ago. Of those, I miss the Polysix the most right now. |

From this thread I can see that I own pretty much no synths/keyboards but what the hey, i'm only a few months into the synth game:
Korg R3
Korg ESX mkII
Korg KP3
Behringer xenyx 1002fx
Nintendo Gameboy running Nanoloop sequencer
Arturia/Yamaha CS-80V
Violin (fake stradivarius) shoved through Boss DD3 delay pedal
Chinese Violin
Xylophone
Assorted hand percussion
Djembe
Mapex STOMP drum kit including 4 tuned Gongs and an array of cymbals
Acoustic Guitar
I pretty much play all of these instruments but it's a chafe playing more than one at the same time. They do create an interesting collection of sounds, and I fire things like my violin through the R3/KP3, i also like to sample the sound of my kit and play alongside it for fullness.
Oh and er... sometimes I like to play electric guitar with an electric toothbrush. |
