|
|
I was using the editor with my SV-1 73, and I have noticed since, that i cannot save favorites. I thought I may solve it by doing a factory reset, and the unit will not allow it ?
Is there something in the editor I may have done to lock it's functionality ? I can't find any documentation of this issue anywhere ?
Thanks for some guidance.

I contacted Sweetwater Tech support (purchased the SV from them in 2015). They suggested reloading the OS, but that didn't work either.
I also attempted to reload the Sound Pack to no avail. I can load entire Sound Pack, and new favorites show up. If I try to edit and save a Favorite, no go.
Sweetwater is contacting Korg. I'll keep you posted. |

Hi,
Does the led of your favorites button starts to blink when trying to save?

Yes. It's weird, it blinks like it always has, but when it stops...the light goes out. Before, as you know, the favorites light would flash, and stop and stay lit, signifying the edit was saved. |

Ok...
And you do push a second time on the same favorite button at the moment it starts to flash to confirm that you really want to save?

Yes. (I had the SV for 2 years). This is a malfunction of the unit, no pilot error. When saving before the light remained lit after saving, to reiterate, the light flashes, and goes out.
I've saved favorites on the fly since I've had the unit. |

Hi,
No offence intended. Just to be sure...
Strange, I would say the reloading of the OS is the best option they could give you, but did not solve it...
Reloading soundpacks would really be surprising that that could help solving a save operation.
Hopefully the Sweetwater comes up with a solution after contacting Korg...

No offense taken.. I appreciate the response. Like you, I thought the OS reload would offer the best chance. The odd part is that the Favorites can be loaded as part of an overall soundpack install, but not individually in the editor, or from the SV1. |

Well I loaded 3 sound packs into my editor and was working on making my custom set, and suddenly, I can save Favorites again. I tried it after disconnecting from the editor, and 2 weeks and a gig later, it's working fine ?
Oh well...I guess it had a hair in it's throat...but I'm glad it's back ! |

Good for you!
Still it is a bit strange... Hope it was only a one-time glitch.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
