|
|
Hello,
I can't manage splitting my King Kross keyboard with internal PROG on the left hand and Ext (midi) prog on the right one.
I can do a Combi with Timbre 01 EXT being my external Keyboard (prophet 6) and Timbre 02 INT being for example an internal piano for my left hand.
Key zones for Timbre 01 and 02 are defined, with G4 as the split point.
The key zone works fine for the internal PROG (piano) which then stops at G4.
The key zone isn't recognize by my EXT (midi) prophet 6. It will play on the whole keyboard and not only from G4 to the top (G9).
Would you know how I could get my MIDI external Prophet 6 to play only on a specified Key zone ?
Thank you ! |

Hi,
It has to do with the assignment of the MIDI channels. Start from the Combi as you've set it up.
For Timbre 01 (EXT) -> go to the MIDI page and choose another MIDI channel than the global channel of the Kross. (The global channel is indicated by channel number followed by G or Gch).
Now configure your Prophet to listen the MIDI channel that you have chosen for Timbre 01.
Have fun. _________________ microKORGXL, Kaossilator Pro, monotribe, SQ-1, volca fm, Kross 88 BK
