|
|
When I insert a USB stick in the front or back, the OS recognizes its insertion/removal and tells me to wait. After a while, it still not listing the USB drive.
When upgrading the OS, it could not list the USB either. I had to connect to my PC and transfer the PKG file there.
I tried to format the USB while attached, but how can I, when I can't even see the drive to format it.
Anyway, you get it I'm sure. Any suggestions? Thank you. _________________ For the glory of God and for the Salvation of the world. |

Does this happen with all USB drives or just this one?
Could possibly an internal problem.
I'm sure you've reformatted the USB externally and that it works fine on your PC etc..etc...
If this DOES happen on all USBs you would be wise to get it checked by Korg engineer (service centre in your area) - should still have warranty??
All the best

some USb sticks are just not compatible with some products...
Try another USb stick, and get one froma major brand, they usually work bets _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

Becky, t is ver 3. It's a PNY 64GB - USB 3.0
Bachus, it works on a cheap USB drive off the CSV shelf, that my daughter talked me into buying for her...lol
karmathanever, that answers your question; t doesn't happen to all USB sticks.
Could it be because of the version? Should it be a lower version?
By the way, thank you all for your prompt reply. I appreciate it.
The main reason for using the USB is to transfer styles tp a Pa900 at church. Found out the hard way that there is no compatibility. It says t's not a PA style. ??? It is... PA4x... Is there a way to make t compatible...through software or maybe the way I build the styles...? This could be for another topic... I will probably re-post elsewhere. _________________ For the glory of God and for the Salvation of the world. |

Hi,
most ( if not all ) USB 3.0 sticks don´t work on keyboard´s USB 2.0 plugs...
Maybe it´s a problem of drivers in the key´s OS _________________ Greetings from East-Frisia, Germany

Snoopy, I didn't even know the Pa4x was compatible to 2.0. I got it less than a month. I had the Pa1xpro for more than 12 years until it wasn't turning on anymore.

Hello all,
I formatted a USB 3.0 flash drive with my Korg PA700, and copied some recordings to it. However, when I tried to connect it to my PC and retrieve those files, the PC did not even detect the USB. It is not showing up in devices. I connected back to PA700, it detects it nicely and works fine. What is going on?
THanks

I had zero problems with Lexar or Sandisk memory sticks.
If the PNY is not seen by the PA4X when you try to format it in the keyboard, remove it and relegate it to PC activities and move on.
You need a memory stick that you have trust in.
In your case I would have two memory sticks with identical content but both made by different manufacturers to give me a mobile backup just in case of difficulties when you are away from base. _________________ Biggles
